Zaimara Vera Hernández  is Solutions Designer and Developer for social impact initiatives.  As an Executive Advisor for local state agencies, Zaimara has effectively managed federal funds programs in coordination with federal agencies, public and private stakeholders. She is an Urban and Social Planner, committed to the implementation of social transformation, community development and disaster recovery programs in the Non-Profit and Public Sector. She’s also a strategic and forward looking thinker, through her social research skills and cultural awareness,  which have been strengthened by her background in social anthropology. Zaimara is a firm advocate of interrelation,  relevance  and participation  of  local assets to  drive socio-economic development and a just recovery in Puerto Rico and the Caribbean region. Zaimara leads asset mapping and disaster recovery funds efforts within the Disaster Recovery Coordination Program.
