L\u00f3pez-Encarnaci\u00f3n is an associate professor of physics at the University of Puerto Rico at Cayey. He completed his bachelor degree in Physics at the Universidad Aut\u00f3noma de Santo Domingo (UASD) in Dominican Republic and a PhD degree in Chemical Physics at the University of Puerto Rico-R\u00edo Piedras campus working on computational studies of finite and extended atomic systems relevant to astrophysical and plasma experiments, chemical reactions, and organic multiferroic tunneling junctions.
