She is currently an Assistant Professor of Chemistry and offers the electrochemistry, general chemistry, and inorganic chemistry courses. Dr. Joan Roque completed an MEd in Adult Education, a PhD in Inorganic Chemistry, focusing on organometallic complexes and homogeneous catalysis, and a postdoc in synthesis and catalysis. She is co-PI of the RISE Program at UPR-Cayey and will be offering training in mentoring &amp; teaching best practices to faculty members. Dr. Roque is committed to creating classroom and research environments where students can flourish as well as feel comfortable and supported. Project\u2019s Title: \u201cHispanic and Latine student experiences with POGIL activities in English and Spanish in General Chemistry at a Hispanic-Serving Institution\u201d<\/li>\n<li>UPR-Cayey FIDI: $15,000 to develop an integrated experiment for the inorganic chemistry laboratory.
